After almost two months of hiatus, I am back! Officially a mommy now at nakapag-adjust na rin kahit papaano. Nakatatlong yaya ako in less than two months and the last one seems ok na.
Let me share to you my birthing kwento :
Dec 2
Before I went to sleep that night, I had some bloody show na pala. Pero since sumabay sya sa pag-ihi ko, I thought UTI. Panay kasi inom ko ng milk tea that time, parang bigla ko na-miss. Hindi kasi ako nag-iinom ng colored drinks nung buntis ako. Hubby was urging me to text my doctor, I did pero I was thinking pa rin na UTI. I decided to observe muna then took a safe antibiotic.
Dec.3
10 AM : I still had some blood on my undies, so I texted my OB again. She made me come to Delgado hospital to IE me.
11 AM : Arrived at Delgado, waited for my OB to arrive. She came 10 mins. She did an IE and voila, I was 1cm na! Pero it was too early, so she said she'll just have an ultrasound to check on baby then after nun I should have my lunch and lakad lakad na.
12-1PM : The resident OBs in the hospital were monitoring my baby's heartbeat. Then they noticed I was already having a contraction. And on that every contraction, baby's heartbeat goes down. They checked 3x and they were correct so they called my OB and she decided to do a Stat CS. Hingi agad nag-sink in sa akin ang mga pangyayari. Sobrang calm ko pero ang mga doctor sa paligid ko panic mode na. Hindi nila malaman kung ano ang uunahin, CBC ba, suero, pasukahin ako (I had brunch before going to the hospital) o pahubarin ako ng damit! My OB came in and she said, wag na ako pasukahin, suero na at mabilising CBC.
1PM : I was wheeled in the operating room. Magaling ang anesthesiologist ko, di ko naramdaman ang lumbar puncture.
2:04 PM : Aidan Derrick was out!
2PM to 7PM : I was stitched back and brought at the recovery room. Buti na lang aware ako sa symptoms ng anesthesia sa CS so hindi na ako nagulat ng manginig ako for more than an hour. I couldn't sleep. I waited talaga to get out of the recovery room. I prayed all the mysteries of the rosary, except for the mysteries of light dahil di ko kabisado. Hahaha!
7PM : Bumalik na ako sa kwarto ko, andun na lola ko and i was monitored and advised to sleep. Tomorrow ko na makikita si baby.
Dec. 4
I was so tired but very eager to see my baby. Hindi kasi sya nailatch sa akin right after ko sya mailabas dahil may sepsis daw sya and may konting difficulty in breathing. Weak cry daw so he was given oxygen via funnel, and fed via IV. Medyo nashock ako na ganun pero inisip ko na lang na as long as okay sya, i will keep myself calm. He was given antibiotics too due to the sepsis. Pero I make sure to latch at least 4x a day para makapag breastfeed ako. Kahit hirap ako maglakad, kinaya ko. i talked to my Ob din and she said if i can poop na, i can go home tomorrow but baby has to stay. Kelangan makuha muna results ng blood culture nya to make sure na tama ang antibiotics na binigay sa kanya at ma ruleout na ang infection.
Dec 5
I was able to poop na so sure nang makalalabas na ako. Wala pa rin result ang cbc ni baby so he definitely has to stay pa sa hospital. I chose to go home and just go back sa Delgado until maiuwi namin sya. Mapapamahal kasi kami kung pati ako magstay. Though mabigat sa loob ko, tinanggap ko yung sitwasyon, inassure pa ako ng mga nurses sa Delgado that he will be okay there, at least daw makakapagpahinga pa ako lalo na at CS ako. I was crying before I left the nursery room, and super devastated paguwi dahil di namin sya kasama.
Dec 6-7
Balik balik kami to latch with baby. Luckily, andun si Ate Jo, ang nurse sa Delgado na marunong mag breast massage kaya nakuha ko pa ang colosutrum ko at naipainom kay Aidan. Pwede ko na rin sana sya maiuwi pero since sarado ang hospital office nung friday dahil may mass, we opted to do it the next day dahil kung hindi, hindi mababawas ang philhealth sa bill ni baby.

Woke up very early as this is the day na maiuuwi na namin si Aidan! we are so happy!
