Our PREX music ministry previously asked us to help a new PREX pa-klase (seminar) at Angat, Bulacan to sing for their seminar. This event required us to stay there from Friday evening to Sunday evening. Since Albert's & my schedule for PREX is always on Saturday, we go there on Saturday ng hapon, after nang work ni Albert or minsan absent sya so we could go there early saturdays, specially pag walang available that time (students kc ung iba naming kasama).
We loved helping that outreach. Usually our routine there is be awake and ready by 8am, eat breakfast. Then sing to them some perk-up songs like "It's a new day/Magagawa natin" so they would feel awake on the start of the talks. Then after that, we chat, kid each other (i usually poke fun with my friend Jay, since he is not pikon!), and take a few naps kung sleepy pa. After that all of us, meaning the participants, the sponsoring class and the volunteers, eat merienda before taking lunch. Basta after ng talks usually kainan.
On Saturdays, we only feel like lounging. But on Sundays, we go to their ilog. Since the day nakwento ito sa amin, we never miss any given time we are there to make tampisaw. On the first and second time we all went there, we only put our feets on the cool, still waters of the river. We usually serve 5 outreaches on parishes so on the 3rd and last time (Note: we never knew there was an "ilog" there on our first visit. On the 2nd, only me and a few volunteers went there and gazed on the still waters, never got drenched), we all agreed to take a dip! But after seeing the river again, we saw that some of the gravel were taken and the ilog got so murky brown with soil, so we couldn't swim! Much to my friend Aileen's suprise, there was a part of the water that got filtered, having a clean swamp few feet near the river! So what did we do? Yes, naligo kami duon sa maliit na part, para lang wag masayang ang effort namin! You can check out the pics!
