Do's and Don'ts every Election Day

Let us start on the positive side:

DO!
- try to vote on a later time. Why? Since it's a new system, most of the attendants are hindi pa sanay. My sister, since she works on a nightshift, started 10AM and finished by 2PM. She had no choice. When it was my turn (I came around 2.30PM), the queue went on faster as I was finished by 2hrs. Gamay na nila. By 4.30PM, the queue was just inside a room. And one more thing, pag hapon, padilim na kaya hindi painit, unlike ng umaga na painit kasi patanghali. Leave it to the senior citizens as they prefer waking up early.
- Bring lots of patience! We all know it's a new system so we have to be patient. Sometimes I think tuloy na sadya na nilang pinapahirapan ang mga pinoy bumoto para tamarin or mawalan ng gana eh.
- Bring the ff. items esp. on long queues:
-- Water (It's summer folks, better not be dehydrated. But you have to throw it when you are about to vote since bawal sa loob ang food or drinks. Baka din mabasa ang paper nyo)
-- Fan.
-- Wet tissues. To avoid your paper getting smirked by your thumbmarks.
-- Kodigo. Believe me, it will avoid the longer time you have to spend on that chair.
-- Eyeglasses, if you really wear one. Shucks, even if I am not that old I found the oblongs to be so freaking small!!!
-- Entertainment, like iPod or any mp3 players. It saved my sanity for 2 hrs.
-- Other misc items like chapstick, umbrella (i walked lang from our house), cologne.

My sanity kit

DON'T!
- Do NOT cut the line! Lahat tayo nagtityaga! Wag kang maglamang!
- Do NOT be romaticized by the candidates. Criticize their ad. Get your homework done by researching about them, as it will either be 6yrs of heaven or hell.
- Do NOT miss your right to vote!

The waiting room.

The precinct.

The precious ballot. So precious since as it's a one time thing.
God bless our country.

As of this writing, its Noynoy vs. Erap. Oh crap...
