I was havin' some chat with my male officemates, wherein my other male friend was boasting of having, simultaneously, 3 girlfiends (for his own security, i won't be publishing his name here =D).
We kept on telling him, na baka makarma sya sa ginagawa nya. He didn't even reveal his own age. He insisted that he loved them all equally. My reaction? F*ck u! sinong ginagago mo? Paano ka naman magmamahal nang sabay-sabay? Everybody knows that, every person in the right mind knows that!
Being a true blue feminist, I argued to him to stop whatever the hell he is doing, at sinabi ko rin sa kanya na malalaman at malalaman din nila ang totoo, for a woman's intuition is very strong. Iba ang vibes nang babae pagdating sa ganyan di ba? At isa ako sa masasabi kong true case (but that would be another story... so next time na yun *.*).
Then my other officemate said, "Tanga naman ang mga babae, pagdating sa love".
What the hell? Excuse me? Ano naman ang proof mo?
After a moment of hearing my own arguments, well, it seems that he had the right to say that. I am a living proof. Some of my friends (ooops, wag magdeny!) are living proofs.
But do we call that "katangahan"? Well, if you're not in love right now, masasabi mo ngang ganun. Pero, para sa mga in-love, it's just how we express ourselves to our significant others.
At paano mo ba masasabing katangahan?
Dati para sa akin, ang habulin mo ang lalaking iniwan ka na ay katangahan. But after some time i thought, hindi naman pala talagang katangahan.
Again, after experiencing them all, I've learned to widen my perspective towards that issue. But at the same time, continue to hold on to the bottom line: self respect. As long as you are not messing with it, as long as you know, that it that's a thing worth fighting for, then go ahead.
Meron bang extent? Halimbawa pag naghiwalay na kayo at mahal mo pa sya?
Simply ask him: Can I still fight for you? Men are supposed to deliver straight answers. If he gives a silent answer, then give him space. If he answers no, then let him go. If he answers yes, lucky you!
Sometimes, kelangan talaga na rin nating tanggapin ang katotohanan and the hurt that comes along with it. Truth shall set you free, ika nga. Then time will heal it. And that love is a selfless act pero there should be respect: sa mahal mo at sa yo. Pag nawalan na yung isa, it will be very messy.
